Q: What days and times are you opened?
A: We are only open on select Fridays and Saturdays (check the calendars on our home page) and seating times range from 4:45pm - 7:45pm.
Q: Are you only open certain times of the year?
A: We are open year round! We only plan and post our schedules 3 months in advance though!
Q: Can I just show up?
A: We book up weeks in advance sometimes, please call us at 780-688-3922 to make reservations. Avoid disappointment and book early! We also have a cancellation list you can be added to if an evening is sold out.
Q: How do I make a booking?
A: You must call us to make a booking, we cannot accept Facebook or emailed booking requests. We’ve had them get missed or lost in the past so we now only do over the phone bookings to prevent errors or mixups. Our phone number is 780-688-3922.
Q: How much is a meal?
A: Depending on what day you come and what is on the buffet, the price will vary between $32-$54 per person and that includes your GST! Just ask us when you call. We do offer a seniors discount on Friday evenings only. On any night you choose to come, your meal will consist of a top grade AAA Canadian steak, alongside of a buffet consisting of 10 homemade salads, a minimum of 6 hot side-dishes, a dessert bar full of trifles, sweets, cakes, and fresh fruit, complimentary tea and coffee, and on special evenings it may include shrimp, sausage or baby back ribs too! Please also note that we do charge a 15% gratuity on meals for groups of 10 or more people.
Q: Can I take home leftovers?
A: We permit our guests to take home their leftover steak and we will provide you with foil wrap to do so. As with all buffets, none of the items from the buffet are permitted to be taken home.
Q: Do you offer takeout?
A: We can accommodate takeout orders on regular steak or steak & shrimp nights (we do not offer takeout on our special nights) and we also cannot do takeout on any Sold Out nights. Unfortunately the kitchen is just too busy trying to feed the in-house guests to accommodate takeout orders as well on these nights. We also must have your takeout order placed at least one day in advance so we can ensure we have enough steaks and other food. Call to place your order: 780-688-3922.
Q: Is the price different if I don’t eat certain things off of the buffet (ie: shrimp on a shrimp night)?
A: The price remains the same regardless of what items you eat or do not eat off of the buffet. We do however offer a discount if you chose to forego your steak and just dine from the buffet items instead.
Q: How many people can I book my reservation for?
A: We can accommodate reservations for up to 100 people at a time! The bigger the group the more notice we will need to find you your desired seat time. Please note we do add an automatic 15% gratuity to the cost of the meals for groups of 10 people or more. A 50% deposit on the meals is required for groups of 10 or more to secure your seats. The deposit placed on empty seats will not be refunded if notice is not given of the change in seats at least one day before.
Q: Should I come before my reservation time? Do I have to be out at a certain time?
A: Please check online maps to plan your travel time accordingly to show up just a few minutes before your seating time (see the Contact Us page for address). Our lobby is quite small but during fair weather you can enjoy our gazebo outside and our patio gardens located next door. Please don't be late as the table may be reserved after you! If you would like to take your time with your meal please book in for a seating after 6:45pm, otherwise each early seating table has a maximum 1.75 hour time assigned to it.
Q: Do you take all of the major credit cards?
A: We are a small business and credit card fees are atrocious! We very much appreciate cash and debit transactions, but we can accept Mastercard and Visa if necessary. For any transactions (deposits or complete payments) over $1000 there will be a 2% fee added to your transaction to help offset the merchant credit card charges.
Q: How come I keep getting the voicemail when I call?
A: Throughout the week we work hard to prep all of the food for the weekend and most likely we are out shopping for supplies or in the kitchen and can't grab the phone... just leave us a message with: the date you are interested in booking for, your desired seating time (we'll do our best to accommodate you), how many people are in your group, and your name and phone number... we'll always call you back, don't worry!
Q: Can I bring my kids?
A: We are technically licensed as a minors prohibited establishment, so no, unfortunately you cannot bring your children. We are licensed as a bar, not a restaurant. Book a babysitter, grab your friends, and join us for a fantastic kid-free meal or call us in the event of a very special occasion and we will do our best to accommodate children over 10 years of age on an early seating. We must receive minor approval from the AGLC prior to confirming your reservation.
PS- As per AGLC regulations, please make sure you bring valid photo ID when you are joining us for a late seating supper.
Q: Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
A: Sure we can! About 85% of our buffet food is gluten free, and you can opt for a "no steak" meal or a chicken breast if we are notified at the time of booking. All of the buffet options are labelled if they contain gluten and/or dairy. Vegan guests or guests with shellfish or nut allergies are encouraged to call us to discuss further and ensure their safety. A: Of course! Just call us to discuss your staff parties, business luncheons, motorcycle runs, and other special occasions. We even have some AV equipment available for use to facilitate your business needs. We can accommodate groups from 30-60 people for private functions.
Q: Do you sell gift certificates and merch?
A: Yes we sure do! Gift certificates can be made up for any denomination you desire, just call us and we can take your payment over the phone and mail it to you, or you can pay/pick up in person at the hotel, just call us prior to stopping by to make sure we are around! We also have ball caps and hoodies for sale, you can check them out when you are in for supper or you can see them on our Facebook and Instagram pages!
